Description
Perched high above the ocean in Misty Cliffs, this wooden beach house is all about views, space and doing things your own way. From almost anywhere in the house you can see the sea, the mountains and the coastline stretching out in both directions. It’s a proper lookout.
The house is warm, colourful and thoughtfully designed, with bold tones inspired by the surrounding fynbos. The living area is cosy and inviting, with a large wood-burning fireplace for cooler evenings and big windows that allow the sunshine to come streaming in.
Outside, you’ll find a deck with a swing bench that’s perfect for sunset watching, plus a sheltered terrace for relaxed braais under the mountain. Binoculars are on hand for whale spotting, and nature is always close – birds, fynbos and ocean sounds are part of daily life here.
The layout is relaxed and practical. One bedroom sits upstairs on a mezzanine level with sliding glass doors and incredible views, while two cosy bedrooms downstairs enjoy mountain outlooks on either side of the kitchen.
This is the kind of place where days are unstructured: surf, work, nap, braai, repeat. Peaceful, private and completely removed from the rush – yet only a short drive to Scarborough and Kommetjie for delis, coffee and beach walks.

The living and dining area is open, light-filled and designed for slowing down. Surrounded by floor to ceiling views of the ocean, large windows frame the sea and mountain views, while the wood-burning fireplace makes this a cosy space in cooler weather. It’s a comfortable area for shared meals, board games, or simply settling in with a book after a day outdoors. The flow between the living space, dining area and deck makes it easy to move between inside and out throughout the day.
Kitchen
The kitchen sits at the heart of the house and is designed for easy, everyday living. It’s well equipped and practical, with plenty of space to cook, gather and linger. Thoughtful colour choices and finishes give it real personality, while still feeling calm and functional. Whether you’re making a quick breakfast before the beach or cooking a relaxed meal at home, the kitchen connects seamlessly with the rest of the house and the surrounding views, making it a space guests naturally gravitate towards.
